Online Resource Offers Latest in Business Information
Knowledge@W. P. Carey, an online business publication with
a searchable business knowledge database, was launched May
11 at http://knowledge.wpcarey.asu.edu.
The publication, from the W. P. Carey School of Business at
Arizona State University, brings the research-based insights
of the school's faculty to readers in the language of the
boardroom, the office, and the marketplace.
The newsletter is e-mailed free to subscribers, and is in
partnership with Knowledge@Wharton, which is distributed via
e-mail worldwide from The Wharton School at the University
of Pennsylvania. Knowledge@W. P. Carey will publish online
once in May, June, and July and will ramp up to a biweekly
publication schedule beginning in August. Editorial work is
coordinated by the L. William Seidman Research Institute,
under the direction of Dennis Hoffman. Elizabeth Farquhar
is managing editor, Nancy Maneely is copy editor, and Angela
Phillips is research assistant.
Based on deep research and insight, the newsletter features
stories of immediate applicability for businesspeople in a
nonacademic, readable format. Other stories utilize faculty
experts to analyze current business news, report on speakers
and conferences, and review business books. The Knowledge@W.
P. Carey search engine accesses a database of additional stories
and research reports.
Corporate sponsors for the site include APS, State Farm Insurance,
and Pepsi.
