Preliminary tabulations from the AUBER
membership web survey were distributed at the March board
meeting in Washington, D.C. The board is, on the whole, pleased
with the tabulations, and believes the survey findings will
provide valuable information for members. However, in order
to get an even better response rate, we are going to conduct
it again in September. The questionnaire will be slightly
revised to reflect suggestions made by the board, and the
findings will be distributed to the AUBER members at the fall
conference in Missoula.
There are two things you can do to help
us in this effort:
- First, you can make a pledge to complete the web survey
when we e-mail you in September.
- Second, you can help us create a good e-mail list of
AUBER members. We suspect that one reason for our low response
rate was because e-mail addresses were out of date or the
wrong person received the notice. So, if your unit did not
receive a survey notice in February, or you suspect it was
sent to the wrong person, e-mail Paul Polzin (paul.polzin@business
.umt.edu), or Cindy DiPersio with the Secretary-Treasurer’s
Office (cindy.dipersio@colorado.edu),
and we’ll try to correct the situation for the September
survey. Please note that a form for updating your center’s
contact information will be included with membership renewal
invoices, which will be mailed in June. In addition, please
remember to keep your center’s information up to date
on the AUBER web site (www.auber.org).
