BEA Statistics Update

BEA released the comprehensive revision of gross state product (GSP) in December 2004, and that release included prototype accelerated estimates of total GSP for 2003 an acceleration of 6 months from previous release schedules. If resources permit, BEA is planning to release accelerated estimates of total GSP for 2004 in June 2005—speeding up the release of these estimates by a full 12 months. In the fall of 2005, BEA plans to release accelerated estimates of real and current-dollar total GSP (revised) and GSP for NAICS-based industry groups for 2004. For more information, go to http://www.bea.gov/bea/regional/gsp.htm.
