State Data and
Business (Industry Data Centers)
Since 1978, the State Data Center (SDC) Program has provided
training and technical assistance in accessing and using Census
data for research, administration, planning, and decision-making
by the government, the business community, university researchers,
and other interested data users. The Business and Industry
Data Center (BIDC) Program, initiated in 1988, supports the
business community by expanding SDC services to government,
academic, and non-profit organizations that directly serve
businesses.
The SDC/BIDC organizations also provide additional services
denoted by various codes beneath their entry, and defined
on page 81.
